Happy Monday!!! My weekend wasn't too exciting, although yesterday I got hours of cleaning done, YAY!!! Well, okay maybe not actual house cleaning, but I did get my DVR cleaned out a bit : P Yep, we were very lazy, and had a semi X-Men marathon day, but it was totally needed!
Since I haven't stamped or played with mattes in a long time, I decided to have a little fun.
I just used SH Black Out and Essie Matte About You, and of course my leopard image from one of my stamping plates.
Beautiful! I love the contrast between the glossy/matte finish.
ReplyDeleteI love this Definitely going to Give it a try

ReplyDeleteWelcome back I sure miss you
ReplyDeleteThis just looks awesome! I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Years ago, I used this painting technique on the walls in my house (gloss and matte stripes in the same color). Which inspired me to do so on my nails! One of my favorite looks and you wear it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI just watched X-Men on the weekend too! Love these nails...feel like I might try them out today! Glad you're back!!
ReplyDeleteI love to work with texture as well gorgeous
ReplyDeleteMixed matte and glossy nails always get me! I also like how the entire nail is matte, while the design is glossy. Usually you see it the other way around. Love it!
ReplyDeletePero que barbaridad! Me encanta :) Una combinación perfecta ^^ Besos!

Obviously, nails are much LESS important than your well-being, but it is SO VERY nice to start my morning with pictures of your nails. I've missed them!!!
ReplyDeleteDang...I love this! I am going to have to try this - I don't usually like matte polish but I can handle it on one finger. :)

ReplyDeleteI just want to start by saying, I AM SOOO GLAD YOU'RE BACK! You were defiantly in my prayers, and still will be! I absolutely love what you do. I JUST last night took off my acrylic nails and started wearing my natural nails today, I said to myself " If Chloe can do it, I can too" lol.
ReplyDeleteI do have a question though. Do you use a matte top coat before using the stamp?
Thank you so much! Yes, I apply the matte polish and let that dry, then I do the stamping over it :)
DeleteI like this, this is a verry good idea!
DeleteI have another question :) How do you do the stamping over it? I tried with no sucess...
Thanks for your answer and sorry for my english, I'm french :)

ReplyDeleteI love that mani!!! I've been wanting a matte topcoat and trying to decide which one to get, I'll try Essie since yours turned out so well and you're pretty much my favorite nail polish blogger EVER.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm so glad to see you're back to blogging. Baby steps is what it's all about. You take care of YOU.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteFirst I painted all my nails with 2 coats of the black. Then I applied SV, top coat, to all my nails except the ring fingers. I applied the Essie top coat to them. I then let them dry and stamped the leopard design.
I am SO glad to see you back!!!! You have inspired me to start my own little blog. If you feel like it take a look. Maybe you can give me some pointers and your opinion. http://chellesnailtique.blogspot.com/

Thank you soooo much Flavia! It means so much to know you guys all do really care! *HUGS*
DeleteGlad to see you back. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very nice. I tried the exact same thing with a different stamp of course and I couldn't get it to work. Did you use Seche Vite to do the glossy stamp or a slower drying regular top coat. I used SV and just couldn't get the whole image to my nail fast enough. Don't have any regular top coat so wondering if I got some if it would work.
I just used the SH Black polish to do the stamp :)
DeleteI'm very happy that you're back, I miss you, ando I miss your art. Kisses.
