A Bubbly Bombshell and my new fave base!

Morning!!! I have such a beauty to show you, and I TOTALLY meant to do something fun with it, but my days have just gone so fast, and I'm pretty sure I"m somehow losing a few hours lately. I saw this at Ulta this past weekend, just sitting on an end cap, and of course it's pretty sparkles drew me in. Oh and the name, hee hee, is so fun. It's Orly Bubbly Bombshell, and btw, it is NOT a top coat eater, so whew! I also had to share my new base coat, well it's technically a ridge filler, but I'm using it for a base, and it rocks! I love that it it a semi milky base, so it's also kind of like underwear for your polish :) My neighbor used it as her base as well, and freaking loves it. Now I change mine often, but she doesn't as much, and she didn't get any chips for close to 4 days! I'll show you it after these pics.

Okay, here it is, it's Essie Fill The Gap. I got mine off of Apothica.

  2. Oh thats such a pretty pretty polish! Love the colour and the sparkles =)
And I also love milky base coats rather than sticky ones. They help prevent staining so much better than the sticky ones =)

  22. I'm glad you love fill the gap. I had a sample of it and when it ran out decided to use up an old sally hansen base. I had to reorder this last week I just miss it that much! x

  23. Now I NEED that color! I wasn't really interested in any of the new Orly, but now that I see this, I can definitely say I was wrong. Gorgeous!

  24. That purple is amazing!
I use a ridge filler as my base coat too. I read somewhere that pink basecoats prevent staining better than clear ones although personally I don't think I've noticed a difference

  30. Love the polish!! BTW are you still having your contest for the nail stickers?

  31. Very pretty polish! Just a quick question; is Essie's Fill The Gap the same as Essie's Ridge Filler? They look exactly the same and are for the same purpose, so I'm curious as to what the difference would be?

I too like the using the ridge filler as a base coat because my polishes go on smoother and I feel they do last longer. Essie's Protein base coat is also equally as awesome. I don't know if you have a Trade Secret near you, but the one near me has all their Essie for 50% off (or buy one get one free, which is the same thing).

You should check out my blog... I do a lot of nail posts too :)

  32. what an awesome color....Cute! I have awarded you the Kreativ Blogger Award on my blog. :)

  33. Hi, Erika! So amazing your blog! beside http://www.lacquerized.com/ (unfortunately, no more more recent post from there), you blog really useful with beautiful nails!! And I just found it today I love your nail arts using scotch tapes! I didn't know how to use my super glitter from Orly! But now I can try your art... I love, I love, I love this blog!

  34. Thanks you guys!!!

miChelle, yep, if you have any ridges on your nails, it makes it smooth, so your polish looks better.

Laura, haha, I heard that too!!!

Cammy, that was only 2 coats!!

Noorulain, no that closed Tuesday morning @ 6am.

Crystal, you know, to be 100% honest, I have no idea, but that is a great question and one I will def be looking into. I don't have a Trade Secret, boo, but at my Rite Aids, they are buy 1 get 1 50% off.

    Lyds, thank you so much!!

Marilia, aww, thank you so much, that is so sweet!!

  35. I LOVE Essie Fill the Gap - I found it at Marshall's once and am in love. I think Orly Ridgefiller is close to it. The milky white base coat is such a great start for polishing :)

  36. Great minds! Just seeing your post but wearing this today... Isn't it to die for? I said, this shoulda been in the Burlesque collection. I seem to like this type of glitter better than the multicolored ones which I just collect and stash - lol!
