Ulta Jaded.....Check her out in the bottle!

Another sneak post from work, lol. I can't do this long. Have you ever seen a polish in a bottle, and instantly fall in love? When I was at Ulta, I saw this, and grabbed it without a 2nd thought. It's Ulta Jaded. Just look at her!!!!

Then you get this magical polish on the nails, and stare at it with curious eyes. Ummm...where are the rest of the colors? It is very pretty, but I might have looked crazy, if others watched me, twist my hand and fingers in all directions, in various lights trying my hardest to see the blue and purple. FAIL. It was also fairly sheer, so I even layered it over Revlon Black with Envy, hey, it was all I had in my purse, lol. I'll show you that one as well soon.

*stomps feet* I want my nails to look like it does in the bottle!!!!

  1. Haha, I have a similar polish, same colour and same effect in the bottle...
Didn't try it yet, though, but I guess it won't be so different from this one :P

  2. I bought the same polish and had the exact same reaction! I tried it on one nail and was so confused! I don't think I've ever actually worn it :-(

  4. Oh I feel sorry for you that that happened! I've totally been there. What a letdown!
I have the same thing with GOSH polishes. They're GORGEOUS in the bottle, but quite common on the nail, and don't display the colorshift at all.
I wonder if they make the bottles like that on purpose?
Tee hee I act like a crazy person in a store too when I find a polish that I MUST HAVE. I grab it like 'Gollum' from Lord Of the Rings and hold onto it until the checkout. NO! YOU CANT HAVES IT! My precious... yesssss...

Anyway, love your posts, as always! :D

  5. I think it's just as pretty on the nails as in the bottle . I mean yea it's a big change but it's cute. Sorry for the letdown.

  7. i have ones like that to, and also glitters! they look so facinating in the bottles then when you put it on your nails you need like a gazillion coats to get it to look anything like it does in the bottle x_x

  10. I got a bottle of Jaded during an Ulta sale and was pretty excited. My biggest problem was that it just wouldn't dry for me! I later did a skittles mani where I layered it over white, silver, black, dark green, and magenta. The magenta actually looked really awesome, so maybe try layering this over a purple to fake the shift?

  14. I couldn't agree more about this shade! A few of their shades are like that. I'm going to be posting Ulta swatches in the next few weeks, but I was so disappointed. It does look soo pretty in the bottle, then you put it on and stare at it like WTF?!

  15. Gah! I hate it when a polish color doesn't measure up to the promise of the bottle. My deepest sympathy!

  16. Ulta polishes look better in the bottle 9 times out of 10! So upsetting!

  17. Bummer! I hate finding what looks like a great duo-chrome polish only to have it be sorta 'ho-hum' on the nail. Still a pretty color though!

  18. I'm glad I can get some pretty duochromes in Europe at low prices. The bottle you bought looks a lot like Essence Where Is the Party which unlike this Ulta polish does have a duochrome effect! We usually don't get nice polishes so I am glad sometimes we actually do! Bummer for your shopping though :( This is the polish I'm talking about btw: http://lightmistress.blogspot.com/2011/05/essence-duochrome-where-is-party.html although the pics are never so nice as yours!

  19. This was one of the first polishes I bought when I got into nails a few months ago. I also was looking and looking for all the other colors. :( It's not a bad color, just missing that great shift.

You rock by the way. :)

  20. I just bought this color yesterday for the sale, and I think it looks pretty much like the bottle. For me I can see the blue if you tilt your fingers down or up a lot.

  21. What if you layer it over a darker color like green, black, or maybe even navy blue? I find dark colors really help duochromes pop.

  22. Ugh, I hate it when that happens. Maybe layering it over a dark blue will bring out the other colors.

  23. I saw that same polish and put it back and grabbed another instead. I'm glad I did because I would have been mad too!

  24. I picked this up with the sale. I have yet to try it out other than on my color wheel. It sure is pretty in the bottle.

  25. This reminds me a tiny bit of Missha's HGR01 which is a fabulous green/blue duochrome. One of my favourites in fact.
