I started with a base of Sinful Black on Black
I know you can't see it here, but trust me there are also flashes of a bright green in there!
Then using 2 pieces of tape per nail, I taped off the black and added Always a Bridesmaid. Sorry for all the pics, but I couldn't just choose a few, lol.
It looks great! The Ulta polish reminds me of Catrice Big Spender Wanted which is one of my favorite pinks!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And I can see the green in at least one of the pictures. :D
ReplyDeleteOn Wednesdays we wear pink!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute!

ReplyDeleteHey girlie, I am so sorry, I am about half way through my emails, eeekk. I plan to get caught up within the week. I had over 500 O_o
DeleteI'm not usually a big fan of pink, but I couldn't definitely see getting that one! Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis color reminds me ChG Chiaroscuro.
ReplyDeletePretty ... Im going to give it a try!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! :) I always mess up my taping how do you get them so perfect?!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It really is just practice. It does take me a few tries to get the tape lined up exactly where I want it :)
DeleteThat is SUCH a pretty combo! For some reason, I'm nervous to do a tape mani, but you make it look so pretty, I really need to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Yes you do! Don't be nervous, it is so much fun!
DeleteI love pink and black together! It's such a great combination and always reminds me of the 50's!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Erica! I discovered your blog yesterday thorugh pininterest and I cannot stop scrolling through your pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteSo now I need your help! I already ordered on amazon a huge set of bundlemonster and the stamp...cannot wait to try those!!! In the mean time I tried the water marble yeasterday night but....for some reasons the drops of polish don't expand in the water. Why is that?
Also, I tried the tape technique...and the tape was pulling out my base. how long do you weight between when you put the base colour and when you put the tape on? When pulling out the tape the pattern was getting all ruined. How to get it right?
Keep the tutorials coming...they are amazing!!!
Sara
Water marbling can be tricky. My tutorial above has all the tips and tricks that I know. You really just have to experiment with different polishes :)
DeleteAs for taping, are you using SV first? This helps my mani dry faster. I then wait about 10 minutes, and after de-sticking my tape, start my design ;)
How do you get your nails into such a perfect shape? Try as I might, mine always want to be rounded at the ends instead of flat...
ReplyDeleteHaha, I just file, oil up and take Biotin. My nails have just always been this shape for as far back as I can remember :)
Deletethat is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletenot a fan of pink but I really like this look! I wish I had nails like yours lol, mine are naturally round and feel really strange when I try to square them out.
ReplyDeleteYou're my inspiration!!!!! I love your perfect tape manicures!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the color combo and because of your blog I started my own blog and also started doing the tape method and I never knew it would be so easy! Every morning I look forward to your new posts! Maybe you could check out my blog and give me some feedback?

ReplyDeleteI love it!!
ReplyDeleteLove this combo.
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful! If the pink does have the lime green flash to it, does anyone else think it looks like Zoya's Happi?
ReplyDeleteErika, your nails are perfect. What a gorgeous shape! So jealous :)
That looks great! One badass looking mani ^^
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your back to blogging! Your blog is constantly inspiring me with new creative ideas! I don't know if you watch American Idol, but Steven Tyler has this tape mani but the inside is in black like a claw!!! You must be trending!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch it, but that's so cool!!
DeleteCan you do a pink and brown mani? I love those colors together. I also think brown and blue or green and blue would look awesome! I love your blog! Keep it up! And thank you for taking your time to share. ;)
