Pink Wednesday Tape Mani :)

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! In honor of Pink Wednesday I pulled out an oldie but goodie,  Ulta Always a Bridesmaid. This polish is so pretty. It's pink with flashes of a lime green/gold, and the formula is awesome.

I started with a base of Sinful Black on Black

I know you can't see it here, but trust me there are also flashes of a bright green in there!

Then using 2 pieces of tape per nail, I taped off the black and added Always a Bridesmaid. Sorry for all the pics, but I couldn't just choose a few, lol.

    1. Thanks. It really is just practice. It does take me a few tries to get the tape lined up exactly where I want it :)

  16. Gorgeous Erica! I discovered your blog yesterday thorugh pininterest and I cannot stop scrolling through your pictures!!!

    So now I need your help! I already ordered on amazon a huge set of bundlemonster and the stamp...cannot wait to try those!!! In the mean time I tried the water marble yeasterday night but....for some reasons the drops of polish don't expand in the water. Why is that?

    Also, I tried the tape technique...and the tape was pulling out my base. how long do you weight between when you put the base colour and when you put the tape on? When pulling out the tape the pattern was getting all ruined. How to get it right?

    Keep the tutorials coming...they are amazing!!!

    1. Water marbling can be tricky. My tutorial above has all the tips and tricks that I know. You really just have to experiment with different polishes :)

      As for taping, are you using SV first? This helps my mani dry faster. I then wait about 10 minutes, and after de-sticking my tape, start my design ;)

  17. How do you get your nails into such a perfect shape? Try as I might, mine always want to be rounded at the ends instead of flat...

    1. Haha, I just file, oil up and take Biotin. My nails have just always been this shape for as far back as I can remember :)

  19. not a fan of pink but I really like this look! I wish I had nails like yours lol, mine are naturally round and feel really strange when I try to square them out.
