While on my lunch break, I reached into my purse, to see what I had with me to play with. Well I pulled out my OPI Mod About You & OPI Significant Other Color, which I have yet to use. So I slapped them together. I just wasn't in the mood to get complicated, probably, because I have sooo much work to do, and didn't even want to take my whole lunch hour. I like the combo though, it gives just enough uummph, to Mod About You, and also matched my new giraffe rain/snow boots, pink tank and black sweater really well.

i like these two together. very nice! :)
ReplyDeleteOh it's so pretty :) your nails are beautiful!!
ReplyDeletelol, i agree... this is a nice color to be simple with it :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely combo! I agree sometimes we just need a little bit simplicity in our lives.
ReplyDeleteSimple but still beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLike it together...significant other color is not pretty if you licquered only...

ReplyDeleteit's an amazing and beautiful color together.
ReplyDeleteSo simple yet so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSofisticated!
ReplyDeleteLoving this combination, I have Significant other not the Mod about You, but I am sure I could find something similar in my collection. xx
ReplyDeleteI love the subtle gold shimmer with the pink! So pretty! : D
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! The simmer is gorge!
ReplyDeletePretty colour for valentines day :)
ReplyDeleteSimple yet SO pretty! You are teaching me how to layer :-) Thank you! I find myself thinking of all these crazy combos - possibilities are endless! But I still neeeed more polish (ok, I want more, a lot more hehe). I do have a list now...I was getting overwhelmed by all your gorgeous colors, that I had to start keeping track of them all. hehe :-)
ReplyDeleteAlso - quick question - when you posted the marbling tutorial, you had a picture of those awesome Qtips - I saw you said Bed, Bath, & Beyond, but mine doesn't carry those :-( Any other ideas where I might find them?
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies!!! Whew, what a day! I didn't have power for 7 freaking hours, the ice storm was terrible!!! I also think my email is working again, so YAY!!!
ReplyDeleteKatherine, it really is just practice and taking your time on the layers, mine aren't always perfect and match up either.
Crystal, oh that sucks! I have no idea of another store that might carry them, i'm sorry. I would check online maybe. The brand is Fran Wilson, and they are called Nail Tees. There is a website on the box, www.franwilson.com
I agree with Kim, your nails are beautiful, I can't stop staring at them either. How do you keep from getting polish all over your cuticles? Those nail tees must be well worth the money!!! I really need to get me some...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info! I did find a bunch of places online from searching that...their own website charges $7.50 for a $3.00 product :-/ But other places aren't as bad with their shipping prices, maybe like a little over $5 for 120ct with shipping? I am first going to check some beauty stores, maybe find them! If not, I will beg my Bed, Bath, and Beyond to pick them up! lol :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lakesha!! It's just practise really. When I polish, I just take my time, and just do my best to get as close to the cuticles as possible. The Nail Tees, I oly use to clean up after Konading, and they are def AMAZING!!
ReplyDeleteCrystal, Oh wow!! That's crazy. I don't blame you for looking around first!
I have been looking for mod about you but can't find it. Any close dupes? Lovely mani :)
ReplyDeleteRhonda, you know, I'm not aware of a dupe for MAY, there was a snowman polish that was similar, but that's it. My Ulta has them in stock I think, I forgot, is there an Ulta near you?
ReplyDelete@rmcandlelight - I found Mod About You on Ebay...I usually find people with high numbers of positive responses :-) But the lowest price I saw was around $7.50 (a few have free shipping). Hope that helps :-) I want that color too!
ReplyDeleteThe color is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, WOW - this is a stunning combo! mod about you is on my wishlist, looks like significant other color is going on there too!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks chrome-arty!
