Oh hey there!

So good morning guys!! I had a minor relapse in the anxiety department, but thank goodness it didn't' last long, and I'm not even sure what happened. I swear I woke up one morning, and I couldn't even imagine opening my blog, it made my heart beat fast, and the panic sunk in, but it passed, whew. I have also been really busy. I even made an eye appointment, which I needed to do for months!!! Last weekend my neighbors had their Mardi Gras party, and it was a blast. Here are Jack and I, please ignore his out of place pink hair extensions, and glow necklaces, lol. I'm not sure what party he thought he was going to (sigh)
Here is a little FF, fun fact, the whole night of the festivities, I couldn't see a damn thing, lol. I was out of contacts and there was no way my mask was fitting on if I wore my glasses, and I have horrible vision!! So, it might have been a good thing jack had on his glow necklace, because I always knew where he was :)

and here are the kids. My daughter, Chloe, is the Peacock :)

Okay, well I'll show you my NOTD finally, lol.
I started with a base of Sinful Black on Black and then added a MUST have polish, IMO, Cover Girl Perplexed. Hope you guys like pictures, because well.....I took a ton.  I couldn't help it, there are so many sides to this polish! When I was reorganizing my stash, I discovered I have a couple of back ups of this one, lol. I never saw these in stores, and every time I ordered something off of Target.com, I would throw one in my cart just because it was so cheap and beautiful :) Oh, I just checked their site, and it is currently out of stock, hopefully they will get more in.

Okay, do you seriously see all those colors???? Well, I wore that all day yesterday, and then last night I did some stamping over it. I used my Bundle Monster plate BM-221 and Konad special polish in black :)

See, I told you I took a lot of pictures :P

  2. I love your mardi gras mask!!! I got the bundle monster plates the other day and am going to do a post about them at the weekend but I cant get the really detailed designs to come out. They have to be chunky for them to work. Have you got any tips on how best to use them?

  5. This came out fantastic! That CG is a cool ! I also wear contacts and if I ever had to go without them or my glasses (which, btw, I'm with you- I would *totally* go blind for the night to be able to wear my cute mask!)I'd be absolutely blind. I love how when I go to the eye doctor, they are always like, "your prescription is not that strong", and I'm like, "Huh!?". I would love to do Lasik eye surgery if I weren't such a chicken :/ Imagine being able to just wake up and SEE??

    1. Seriously, haha, mine gets me ready for the eye chart, and when he ask what I can see, I simply say 'the door' lol. I would love to have the surgery done, but I do not have that kind of money right now. Maybe in 10 years, lol

  15. Oooh I love this! I had no idea that polish even existed!

I hear you on the anxiety relapse. Mine has been rearing it's ugly head lately as well. Maybe it's the leap year? I don't know. But leaving the house has been increasingly difficult, and I can't avoid it since my hubs is out of town and I have both kids. Once I'm out, I seem to be okay - it's making it out the door that take serious focus and effort. I can't even take a Xanax to help since I have to drive! Hopefully it stops soon, but as of now? I'm not convinced.

I had a few days where blogging wasn't happening either. I had blogging anxiety because I broke a nail and had to take down my length. Once that happened, my anxiety kicked in and I couldn't bring myself to even start a mani, nonetheless post one. Funny how something as simple as having to go back to nubbins again threw me into an anxiety attack.

    1. Thank you. It really is funny, how the smallest thing will trigger it. It's so hard for others to understand too.

    2. That's always so hard for me - how others can't really understand it. My mother likes to say "Oh you're just being dramatic. It's all in your head.", then she rolls her eyes and acts like I'm insane. SUre, it's in my head - but it's a chemical imbalance. Not like I can just shut it off. Thankfully I'm still improving and have been able to get out and shop for polish and my depression has lifted considerably. Yay for meds!

Glad to see you're still posting. You're such a huge inspiration to so many of us!

It's a "relief" to me when I see you have a new post for the day. One of these days, I'll understand why :). What an amazing color! I'll be on a search for it now! Just bought Essie "matte about you" and have been messing with matte and SV designs on top. Thank you so much for your posts!

  21. I'm so glad you're feeling better! When I feel a bout of depression coming on or anxiety taking root and I can nip it in the bud, it's rewarding because it's proof that coping strategies work and I'm capable of managing the symptoms. Every time, I gain more confidence that I know how to anticipate and navigate those emotions, and I'm learning to worry less and less about the next time it might happen. (Taking an extra 1/2 dose of my medication on bad days, which most of the doctors I've seen over the years—the good ones, anyway—approve of and even encourage, helps, too!)

Anyway, this manicure is glorious! It sure doesn't look like a drugstore polish!

  22. I have become SO inspired by your blog! I have a small collection of colors that I'm always meaning to do something with and never get around to doing anything. I found your site and was just so blown away by all the ideas! It inspired me to start doing my nails again and try to take better care of them. I love that you have very similar taste in colors. I am not all that interested in the stamping, but I like to see what you do with it. I also am SO SO SO grateful for you introducing me to Seche Vite! I had heard of it before but seeing how you used it and the raves you gave it, I had to get some. IT IS A MIRACLE! I love it so much! My mani's are much quicker and more protected. I love that!

    Thanks for everything you do!
