I started with Zoya Savita
Then I added a top coat, since Savita is a matte. I could have just used a regular purple, but I love how the Zoya mattes look with a top coat!
Then using the scissors, I cut my tape. Just look how perfect it cuts it!
I then added a fave of mine, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Matte, after I laid my tape down.
this looks so cute :)
ReplyDeleteverry pretty!!! And your members are rising up VERRY quick! Gongrets!! have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Those scissors are awesome and so is the mani!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome, especially with the matte tips!
ReplyDeleteIt kinda looks like your fingers have mustaches - haha, cute!
ReplyDeletewow it seems sooo easy to do! i love it...and that color combo looks good too...ill have to try this someday once i find my craft scissors...
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great idea I have so many of these scissors. :)

ReplyDeleteKirs, I know, it amazes me! I'm so thrilled that so many people are enjoying my blog. I feel honored especially since there are so many blogs out there :)
Naomi,HAHAHA, omg you're right!!
really LOVVVVE the matte shinied up!
ReplyDeleteTo me - with this color combination - it's like a silhouette of a bat on each nail. Really cool!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful idea!! I keep wanting that Zoya color. Don't know why I'm hesitating lol.
ReplyDeletewhat kind/type of topcoat do you use? Seems like the ones I have actually ruin the polish underneath.
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I'm so glad the scissors actually works for this.
ReplyDeleteErika, you are hands down the most creative person I have seen with tape. I love this manicure
ReplyDeleteyou have the best ideas! i need to go pick up some scissors like that! it will be much easier than trying to cut out little triangles with tiny scissors for a shredded mani!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it! :) I even really liked it with the matte tips! Perfection, as always!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! And now my scissors have finally found a good use. lol.
ReplyDeleteWow! That´s great! But must confess I prefer Zoya Savita by itself, with its matte effect.
ReplyDeletegreat mani :-D
ReplyDeleteI love it! Your ideas always amaze me.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! Question, why did you use opi matte for the tip if you just went over it with a shiny top coat? Why didn't you use a shiny black tip?
ReplyDeleteI liked it more with the tip black matte! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis purple is perfect with top coat :o
ReplyDeletePretty mani as always hehe
I really love that! I agree that Savita is sooo freakin gorgeous with TC on!! I have a ton of these scissors cause i used to scrap book so I think I'm gonna have to copy you, hope you don't mind. I lack in creativity so I just have to feed off yours hahaha
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks girls!!!
ReplyDeleteSonia, I use SV for every mani. How does your top coat ruin the polish?
bathtimeducky13, I didn't use just a regular black, because I wanted a deep purple, and that what the OPI LPAD is, it's my darkest purple I own.
Dori, omg, not at all, that is the whole reason I love sharing with you guys :)
Those are so pretty! I want to try out so many of your ideas as soon as my nails get longer. You're ridiculously talented :)
ReplyDeleteI really like this one!
ReplyDeleteLove this! It's so creative. I always prefer manis with the top coat :)
ReplyDeletethis may very well be THE dumbest question ever but: do you place the tape on each nail, or do you run the tape across your nails all at once?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!! Today I was out shopping and I just happened to find the Seche Vite Topcoat! I live in Ireland so this really shocked me as I didn't even know you could get it here! Used it for the first time today and I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have known it existed if it wasn't for your blog. Keep up the good work!!
Your manicures are so inexpensive, yet look so professional! : D
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous. Can't wait for my scissors to arrive.
ReplyDeleteIf i'm crediting you in a blog do I just hyperlink it back to your page?
great idea! i might have to try it!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks you guys!!
ReplyDeleteLisa, there are no stupid questions! I only do one nail at a time :)
Louise, Oh YAY!!! I'm so glad you love it too! Isn't it the best ever?!?!
Cammy, haha, well for the most part, my butt is all about cheap :P
Cat, Oh i can't wait for you to try too!!! Yeah you just link back, thanks!
This looks great! Time to get out my craft scissors! :D
ReplyDeleteNo words :O°°°
ReplyDeleteNow I would these... XD http://shoptd01.dmail.it/prodotto.php?cod=117966
Very cool mani:) Nice with mat tip too. Those scissors are great! I want them too!
ReplyDeleteOhhh. I've always mistaken OPI LPAD to be a matte black rather than an eggplant color. Now I understand why you choose it.
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah everyone does :)
ReplyDeleteSo cool! Is that regular scotch tape? and how long do you let it dry before you can put the tape on? also, once you paint over the tape do you take it off immediately? or let it dry awhile?
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!
I was going to ask the exact same questions as Emily asked cause my nieces and I tried to use this technique to make pumpkin finger nails and it peeled off the paint under the nail polish.
ReplyDeleteThis is by far my most favorite of yours. Thanks for the tips.
ReplyDeleteWhat is SV?
ReplyDeleteJulie C.
ReplyDeleteSV is Seche Vite. I use it and love it! I get it from Sally's Beauty Supply, and you can also get it at Ulta.
I love this mani... I will redo this and make my friends envy :p...
