A crafty Funky French..

Okay so here is the funky french I had scheduled for yesterday, using the craft scissors I purchased. I still have so many ideas with these scissors!! Since there isn't much to say, here it is.

I started with Zoya Savita

Then I added a top coat, since Savita is a matte. I could have just used a regular purple, but I love how the Zoya mattes look with a top coat!

Then using the scissors, I cut my tape. Just look how perfect it cuts it!

I then added a fave of mine, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Matte, after I laid my tape down.

finally I added SV on top, cause I wanted this mani completely shiny.

  11. what kind/type of topcoat do you use? Seems like the ones I have actually ruin the polish underneath.

  14. you have the best ideas! i need to go pick up some scissors like that! it will be much easier than trying to cut out little triangles with tiny scissors for a shredded mani!

  17. Wow! That´s great! But must confess I prefer Zoya Savita by itself, with its matte effect.

  19. Super cute! Question, why did you use opi matte for the tip if you just went over it with a shiny top coat? Why didn't you use a shiny black tip?

  20. I liked it more with the tip black matte! ;)

  23. Thanks girls!!!

Sonia, I use SV for every mani. How does your top coat ruin the polish?

bathtimeducky13, I didn't use just a regular black, because I wanted a deep purple, and that what the OPI LPAD is, it's my darkest purple I own.

Dori, omg, not at all, that is the whole reason I love sharing with you guys :)

  26. this may very well be THE dumbest question ever but: do you place the tape on each nail, or do you run the tape across your nails all at once?

  27. Very pretty!! Today I was out shopping and I just happened to find the Seche Vite Topcoat! I live in Ireland so this really shocked me as I didn't even know you could get it here! Used it for the first time today and I LOVE it!

I wouldn't have known it existed if it wasn't for your blog. Keep up the good work!!

  34. Very cool mani:) Nice with mat tip too. Those scissors are great! I want them too!

  35. Ohhh. I've always mistaken OPI LPAD to be a matte black rather than an eggplant color. Now I understand why you choose it.

  36. So cool! Is that regular scotch tape? and how long do you let it dry before you can put the tape on? also, once you paint over the tape do you take it off immediately? or let it dry awhile?
    LOVE IT!

  37. I was going to ask the exact same questions as Emily asked cause my nieces and I tried to use this technique to make pumpkin finger nails and it peeled off the paint under the nail polish.

  38. This is by far my most favorite of yours. Thanks for the tips.
