Orly Royal Velvet gets funky...

I picked this up......I'm going to say a few weeks ago, but I can't honestly remember, at Ulta. It's part of the new collection that Orly has out. Out of them all though, once again, only 1 stood out to me, lol, and it was Royal Velvet, man, I just can't pass up a purple/blue duochrome! As always the purple was a lot easier to see in person, my camera just wanted no part of it.

Here is a bottle pic, and you can see the purple tons better, it really does look just like this on the nail.

Here is 3 coats on the nail with SV

and since i haven't done my black tips in ages, I slapped them on as well :) I really just love how Royal Velvet appears to be glowing on my nail!

  6. I've been hunting this one down for a while. Every time I go to Ulta or Sally's, I see it on the swatch plate, but no bottles on the shelf.

  9. First I love love love your site!! You are so creative and I'm jealous of your nail polish collection. I see that you love SV. I've noticed as I get half way through the bottle that it starts to get thicker and it makes my nails chip so much faster. Do you have a solution? Thanks!

For Me, It Works, that really is so funny. I saw your post and it looks great on you!

miu, thank you so much! I'll be sure to check it out!

Kristina, yeah SV does tend to get goopy fairly quick. All you need to do is add some polish thinner, and it will be good as new :)

Jessi, awww, thank you so much!!

Joonzeboo, I use Sinful Black on Black for my fave go to black :)

Monkey, that's not a bad idea, maybe the next time I do a lighter color mani, I'll do white tips :)

  16. That is such a pretty color. It is still in my untrieds though I don't know why. It was the only one I HAD to have but now I think I need Ancient Jade as well.

  18. Love this color!! I'll be on the search for it now. I would love to know how you get the black tips to come out so perfectly and even. When did mine, each nail was different?! How do you know how far down to put the tape??

  20. Thanks you guys!!!

Judy, it really is all about lining the tape up right across your tips. It takes practise to know how far back looks good. Try and start off by making your nails all the same length, or as close as you can.

  21. I can not figure out how to do the taped off tip without jacking up the under color or taking two hours to let it dry in between.
