2010 Milani Gems Swatches....

Okay, so while I was at CVS, I saw that they were in the process of putting these out, so I gladly helped the SA with the unpacking, lol. Well I just learned I didn't grab the red one?!?!?!? Guess I'm going back. These are all sooo pretty, and I can say that it's the 1st collection in a loooong time, that I LOVE them all!!!

Here are the 6, out of 7, that I have

Silver Dazzle

Blue Flash (I'm not sure why my camera INSISTED on my hands being a very un-pretty shade of red, but the polish color is accurate)

Purple Gleam

Gold Glitz

Gems, which is a Lippman Happy Birthday dupe!!!

Gold, I LOVE these big hex glitters!! This was 2 THICK coats.

  1. I'm off to CVS now. These are awesome. I see it says One Coat Glitter on the bottle. Was it actually one coat for them? I saw the last one you said two thick coats, but how were the previous ones?

  2. They were all 2 regular coats, for me, I tend to do thick coats in general, but the gold was XTRA thick, lol. The formula was great though.

  5. You make them all look so gorgeous! I can never make polish look that beautiful on myself. However, I LOVE Gold Glitz. That warm toned gold would look so much better with my skintone than CG's 5 Golden Rings. Might have to get that one!

  9. Awesome! What topcoat did you use? Oh, and I can't believe they're opaque at one coat when I swatched mine - crazy. But, like you, I'll probably do two for actual wear... Thanks :)

  15. Since you use SV... do you get crazy shrinkage from it?? All of my manicures look nice to begin with, but about a day later, the SV has caused all of the edges (especially the tip edge) to shrink in a bit (even when I "wrap" the tips!). I usually have to take my blog pics immediately after the manicure to avoid the "tipwear" look.

Does this happen to you? Or how do you avoid it?

  16. Goose, okay, are you ready, eeek, lol......I haven't had a mani on for longer than like 3 hours, lol. I change 3-5 times a day. Afte a few hours of a mani, I'm bored, and will *hangs head* peel it off, and go nekkid till I can do another. So I can't really answer your question properly, I'm sorry.

  27. wow... i need these!

  28. Thanks everyone!! If/when you get these, you will not be disappointed.

Goose, I plan on going back on Monday to check for the red, because the only place I've found them is by my work, which is an hour away. I will be more than happy to grab them for you if they are still there. We can figure something out when I get them :P

  29. Grace, sorry I forgot to answer you question in my previous response. For removal of glitters, you can do what is called the foil method. I learned about this on makeupalley. You take 100% acetone, and soak a cotton ball, place it over your nail, and wrap it in foil. The foil keeps the acetone from evaporating. You do this for all your fingers, and wait 5 minutes. After five minutes you apply pressure and drag the foil and cotton ball off your nail. This will remove ALL the glitter at once and very easily :P

  30. Yes... it's been like that for a couple of weeks. I use eBay Canada, I don't know if it applies the the US eBay. Every time you click on a beauty product, you get this message "Unfortunately, access to this particular listing or item has been blocked due to a Paris commercial court decision that bans trade of certain authentic perfumes and cosmetic products on eBay because of French selective distribution laws. eBay is appealing this ruling but is nevertheless required to enforce it. We are blocking your viewing in an effort to comply with this court decision. Regrettably, in some cases, we may prevent users from accessing items that are not within the scope of the decision because of limitations on existing technology." ... bad :(

  31. Oh Lawhd, Chloe, have mercy! I'm supposed to be shopping for my loved ones now - can't you make the pics a little less attractive so I'm not tempted?! :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Gold looks so good, I wish they made a silver one.

I think I might have to go and pick up Purple Gleam and the red one too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi Chloe, I wanted to let you know that I ended up finding Gold and Gems today after my dog's obedience class, but thank you so much for offering to pick them up for me! I hope they still have the red for you! :o)

  34. This is just an awesome collection, haven't seen this before anywhere and I follow ALOT of blogs. The Gold and the Gem's are wayyyyyy high up on my wishlist now!!!!!

  35. Thanks everyone!

Gabrielle, that is crazy!!! Hopefully all will be good soon. I would be one very unhappy camper if they did that to the US eBay.

Goose, you're very welcome, I'm always happy to help a fellow polish addict, but I'm so happy you found them!

  36. I love glitter polish but they're difficult to remove :(

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree Hillary, but you can always do the 'Foil Method'. You soak a cotton ball in 100% acetone, place it on your nail, and then wrap the entire nail in foil. The foil prevents the acetone from evaporating. You do this for all your fingers. Then wait about 5 min, and with some pressure, pull the foil and cotton ball off. This works wonders!!
