Lippman Across the Universe Funky French..

Of course I had to do a mani with my new Lippmann!! So for this I used Across the Universe. I started out doing a full mani, and when I was done, I wanted to do another funky french with it, but I didn't want matte tips again, so I did this, and made Across the Universe the tips :P I LOVE it, I felt like I had gems on my tips!

Here is 2 coats of Across the Universe on its own

And of course, the final mani :P

  4. wow that is beautiful , i love that colour and both manis are fab . Erika , just out of curiousity have you any idea how much does a lipmann cost (approx) in the US. Its dead hard to get in Ireland but recently i saw it priced at around €15 which is around $18 i think.

  5. Emer, Lippmanns are $18 here, too. A few are $16, but the glitters are all $18. That's the reason I don't own this gorgeous polish myself :(.

  6. thanks tracie, was curious as alot of polishes are way more expensive here. it is tough to find most of the brands you guys use. poor hubbie on his next business trip to the US is gonna be sent to walmart, ulta and any other place he is willing to go to for me to find new brands. He'll be going mad, ha ha ~!

  8. Oh man, this is the only time I've been impressed by Across the Universe. It just looks so blah in other photos! It's so juicy and full of depth.. Ugh, now I'm tempted. :(

Question: How did you get your finished manicure so smooth looking if the tips are shiny and the beds are matte? Like.. there is no visible bump between the layers.

  9. On my next trip to Ulta, I think I'll grab me a bottle of Lincoln Park After Dark. That's the black matte, right?

I like how you used the Lippman on the tips, it looks very chic. Golly, those colors are so mesmerizing. XD

  11. Thanks everyone!!

    L, I use SV, Seche Vite :P

Emer, I know, I hate that they are soooo expensive. This is why I've never bought any, except Happy Birthday. Although, this has now made me want more (sigh). Oh and I hope your hubby has fun, LOLOLOL.

Kendal, Thank you! I think the there is no visible bump/crease, because I did such a thin layer of the OPI, since it's fairly opaque.

Cammy, I don't blame you, I'm almost out, lol, so I will be up there too. I just love this stuff. It is actually a VERY dark purple, but when applied it looks black, thats why I love it soo much.

Sarah, Aww thank you sooo much. This was one of those manis, that I couldn't stop looking at!

  23. Haha, sorry Lumi :( I know, their prices kill me!

Janna, After the first coat, it does look really sheer, but the 2nd coat makes it all better :P I also tend to do semi thick coats. Then top it off with 2 cots of your fave top coat, and it's a magical polish!

Thank you Miranda!! I will def check it out!
