WARNING - Nekkid pictures ahead (of stained nails, lol)

Morning! Remember how I told you all that Nubar Verde was not very nice to me or my nails. Well I just wanted to show you guys how I semi fixed it. As you can see, I kind of already fixed my pointer, before I decided to take pics, and share with you all. You can still see the icky staining on the others. I hope I don't gross you guys out, lol.

Well using my square purple buffing block, I lightly buffed my nails, and most of the stains out. Now I don't recommend this if your nails are thin or weak, but mine are fairly strong, so just a tad light buffing, doesn't really damage them.

  4. Question: How long had you been wearing the Nubar Verde to get that much staining?

  5. Were your nails previously stained from constantly wearing polish? Mine are a little bit yellow and I hate it.. not enough to stop wearing polish all the time, though! Haha

  6. Haha, glad I was able to gross you guys out, lol. I really have no shame, some days, and really wanted to share with you guys, that my nails aren't close to perfect :)

Honolulu, no I didn't, eeek, I was too lazy, but whew, I sure learned my lesson, lol

For Me It Works, well this is what I call my 9-5 manis time period, lol. 9pm - 5am, hahahaha. I put it on before bed, then I did a crackle over it, and like I always do, peeled it off in the morning, lol.l I have such a bad habbit of that!

Tracie, Oh YEAH! I NEVER wore a base, until about...what..a month ago, lol. So I do have that yellowing, but I never cared anyways, since I never go nekkid in public, lol. The staining is slightly growing out now, ever since I started using one, I just need to make sure I use one EVERY time, but I am lazy :)

  9. I never use a base coat either and my nails are yellowish too. but like you said, I never go nekkid in public.

yesterday the universe made me buy a top coat. I went to buy SV and I was in a hurry and I grabbed it without looking at it to close. when I got home I realized I got the base coat instead. lol

  10. I have found that a quick wipe with a cut lemon on my nails removes a lot of the yellowing. It is a natural bleach and won't harm your nails. Even better do it out in the sun for 5 mins and let the UV rays help bleach too.

  11. Good tip, I did this after China Glaze's Entourage stained my nails. It worked to a degree, but it's some pretty deep staining, even after a thick base coat.

  12. I have recently starting used Bubble White soak from Sally Beauty. Works well.

  14. I always use freshly squeezed lemon and it works wonders. What I actually do is use the pulp soaked in juice that is left over after I squeeze a lemon for cooking. I keep 1/2 of the lemon peel "naturally" emptied by the juicing :P and put back some of the pulp, It's like the cutest manicure cup :) I do 1-2 minutes for average results, and 5 min for BLINDING results. Doesn't sting or damage anything...

  15. Thanks you guys, for the tips. I just might try some othem out.

Heidi, I did, a BIG problem biting. I started by using fake nails o help my learn to stop biting. Then once mine grew out, I made sure to keep them polished. I noticed if my nails looked good, I had no desire to bite them.

Cathryn, haha, nope, they are always my nails :)

  19. A good way to get rid of polish stains is to take some toothpaste (whitening, preferably) and squeeze just a teensy bit on each nail. Then take a wet bail brush and scrub 'em down. Blues always stain my nails no matter how many coats of base I use.

  20. wet nail brush* not bail brush. I don't even know what a "bail brush" is!

  21. Thanks for the tips!! Although I liked the 'Bail Brush', LOL
